Stellar-Conduct 101: Why Qiqi Is Now Irreplaceable
Stellar-Conduct is the centerpiece of Genshin Impact's 6.x combat evolution. When Cryo and Electro interact inside a Polestar Field (a special zone created by Sandrone or a future Stellar Linchpin), the reaction triggers massive AoE damage and enables a new team archetype. Unlike Superconduct, which only shreds physical resistance, Stellar-Conduct deals direct elemental damage and scales with both Cryo and Electro mastery.
Here is where Qiqi steps into the spotlight. While her Elemental Skill (Herald of Frost) is active inside a Polestar Field, she increases the entire party's Stellar-Conduct and Superconduct DMG by a staggering 50%. She is the only character currently providing this buff. Her Skill cooldown was reduced to 15 seconds, matching its duration and granting 100% uptime. This also means continuous coordinated Cryo attacks every time your on-field character hits an enemy, providing reliable Cryo application for reaction fueling.
A critical limitation: Qiqi cannot trigger Stellar-Conduct herself. She needs a Stellar Linchpin on the team to activate the Polestar Field. Right now, that is Sandrone. This makes Qiqi a specialized but indispensable support for any Sandrone team. If you want to play the Stellar-Conduct meta, you need both characters.

Qiqi's Post-Buff Kit: What Changed and What Matters for Sandrone
Qiqi's entire kit was overhauled with Stellar-Conduct in mind. Beyond the Skill uptime increase and the 50% damage boost, her signature buff, her Elemental Burst (Preserver of Fortune) now deals additional Stellar-Conduct DMG when inside a Polestar Field. It still provides party-wide healing, but now it also contributes damage.
Her constellations were similarly reworked. C1, C2, and C4 now grant extra HP restore, Energy regeneration, and ATK boost respectively, all tied to Stellar-Conduct interactions. The crown jewel is C6: Rite of Resurrection now adds a Shenhe-like Icy Quills effect. When an active party member deals Stellar-Conduct DMG, it is increased by 600% of Qiqi's ATK as bonus damage. For clarity, if Qiqi has 2,500 ATK, that translates to 15,000 extra damage per reaction proc. This scales massively with high ATK builds, transforming Qiqi from a pure healer into a secondary damage source.
At C6, a well-built Qiqi can add 40,000 to 60,000 extra damage per Stellar-Conduct proc. For dedicated Sandrone mains, this is the ultimate upgrade.
Best Qiqi Builds: Artifacts, Weapons, and Stats
Building Qiqi for Sandrone requires balancing Energy Recharge for burst uptime, ATK for healing and C6 damage, and the right artifact set for team-wide buffs.
Artifact Set Debate: Tenacity vs. Noblesse
The community is split between two viable artifact sets. The 4-piece Tenacity of the Millelith (ToTM) is generally superior for Qiqi's new 100% Skill uptime playstyle. When her Skill hits an enemy, ToTM boosts party ATK by 20% and increases shield strength by 30% for three seconds. With coordinated attacks happening continuously, this buff is always active. It is the default choice until a dedicated Stellar-Conduct support set arrives.
The 4-piece Noblesse Oblige (NO) is an alternative if you rely on her Burst for healing and buffing. It provides a 20% ATK boost to the whole team for 12 seconds after using her Burst. However, since Qiqi's burst has a 20-second cooldown and requires 80 energy, the uptime is less consistent than ToTM. Recommendation: use ToTM unless you have exceptionally high Energy Recharge and prefer a burst-focused approach.
Weapon Tiers
- Best overall / F2P: Favonius Sword. Qiqi needs Energy Recharge to fuel her burst, and Favonius provides both ER and particle generation for the whole team. If you use this weapon, switch your circlet main stat to Crit Rate to reliably trigger the passive, this trade-off is essential to make the weapon work. This is the default choice for anyone not whaling.
- Premium: Freedom-Sworn. High base ATK, an EM substat (which slightly helps reaction damage), and a party-wide DMG buff when you trigger two elemental reactions. If your ER needs are met through substats, this is the best damage-oriented pick.
- Alternative: Skyward Blade. High base ATK, ER substat, and a Crit Rate substat on the passive. A solid all-rounder if you have it.
- For C6 owners: At C6, the 600% ATK scaling makes raw ATK substats more valuable. Consider switching from Favonius to Skyward Blade or Freedom-Sworn if your Energy Recharge is already sufficient (around 180% from substats alone). High base ATK weapons become significantly stronger at this constellation level.
Main Stats and Substat Priority
- Sands: Energy Recharge% as default. If your substats give you around 180% ER, you can switch to ATK%.
- Goblet: ATK% always.
- Circlet: ATK% for general use, or Crit Rate% if using Favonius Sword.
- Substat priority: ER% (until ~180%) > ATK% > Crit Rate% (for Favonius) > Flat ATK.

Team Compositions: Premium and Budget Sandrone Teams
Qiqi excels as the solo healer and buffer in teams built around Sandrone. Here are the two strongest configurations.
Premium Dream Team
Sandrone (on-field Cryo Claymore DPS) + Yae Miko (off-field Electro sub-DPS) + Qiqi + Xilonen (flex support / resistance shred)
Yae Miko provides consistent Electro application from her totems, ensuring Stellar-Conduct triggers on every Cryo hit. Xilonen shreds enemy resistances and offers additional utility. Qiqi keeps the team healthy and provides the 50% Stellar-Conduct buff with near-permanent uptime. This team produces enormous reaction damage and is the current ceiling for Stellar-Conduct gameplay.
F2P / Budget Alternative
Sandrone + Beidou (off-field Electro, shield, damage reduction) + Diona (Cryo shield, healing, 40% Stellar-Conduct buff) + Fischl (Electro battery, off-field damage)
Diona is the key substitute if you do not have Qiqi. Her C6 provides a 40% Stellar-Conduct DMG buff within her burst field, plus shielding and healing. The 10% difference from Qiqi's 50% is noticeable but not crippling. Beidou and Fischl together provide ample Electro application and energy for the team. If you have Diona's constellations, this team can clear almost all content.
When building around Qiqi, prioritize her ER and ATK to maximize the C6 damage bonus. Use Favonius Sword in F2P teams to help battery Sandrone and your Electro supports.
Constellation Impact: Is C6 Worth It?
Qiqi performs exceptionally well at C0. Her signature Stellar-Conduct buff and 100% Skill uptime alone make her top-tier for Stellar-Conduct teams. She is viable for all content without any constellations.
Constellations C1 through C4 offer incremental improvements: extra healing, Energy restoration, and ATK%. These are nice to have but not game-changing.
C6 is the whale bait. The 600% ATK additive bonus turns Qiqi into a genuine damage amplifier. In a premium team with Sandrone and Yae Miko, each Stellar-Conduct proc gains tens of thousands of bonus damage. For dedicated Sandrone mains who plan to use the team for Abyss, domains, and events, C6 is the ultimate upgrade.
However, investment priority matters. Get Sandrone first, then Qiqi at C0. Only after you have both should you consider pulling for Qiqi constellations. Favonius Sword plus Tenacity of the Millelith is excellent even at C0 and will carry you through all existing content.
The Undead Empress of Stellar-Conduct
Qiqi is no longer a trophy character. She is the linchpin of the Stellar-Conduct meta, a support whose value scales with every patch that adds more Cryo and Electro units. Her transformative C6 and 100% Skill uptime make her Sandrone's best-in-slot support, whether you are a budget player or a whale. Qiqi's only real weakness now is requiring Sandrone, but that's a happy problem to have. By following the build paths outlined here, Tenacity of the Millelith or Noblesse Oblige, Favonius Sword or Freedom-Sworn, ER before ATK before Crit, you can turn the zombie pharmacist into a damage multiplier your team cannot live without. Version 6.7 is Qiqi's time to shine. Do not leave her on the bench.
